How can I simulate sub-websites within my account ? - Top

To simulate a sub-web site, you have to create a new folder and then upload the main loading page (index.html). You can setup as many sub-web sites as you wish. Web InSite only charges additional fees if you need more space than you initially ordered.

How can I use more than one domain name ? - Top

We can have several domain names point to site. To add a domain name to your account just send e-mail to support@webinsite.net and let us know what domain name(s) you want us to create zone file(s) for on our name servers. There is a one-time configuration charge of USD $25 for each additional domain that you want us to link to your virtual web hosting account.

When will I be able to reach my site using the domain name ? - Top

Once the domain registry announces that your domain name has been registered (or transferred, if applicable), it usually takes about 3 to 5 working days before it is active world-wide. All internet providers must update their records (DNS tables) to reflect new site locations. This process is called propagation. Even if it should take longer than expected, there is (unfortunately) nothing Web InSite can do to actually expedite this process. We have found though that on the whole most domains are active within 24 hours to MOST ISP's. There are a few ISP's that just do not update their databases as frequently as they should.

How do I announce my site ? - Top

We offer an outstanding package for announcing your site. Please see our site submission package information. If you prefer to do your own registration, we recommend the major engines beginning with Yahoo , WebCrawler , Lycos , and AltaVista. Look for an "add URL" option at each of these sites, as well as links to other search engines.

How do I activate my autoresponder ? - Top

Autoresponder setups are made through your control panel. If you are having trouble please contact support@webinsite.net.

How can I change my main POP e-mail account name? - Top

All email changes can be made through your control panel very simply. We just set you up with a default email account to get you started and then you are free to go in and change it to whatever you would like.

Does Web InSite support REAL AUDIO? - Top

Yes, we do support the streaming http version of Progressive Networks REAL AUDIO© on certain hosting plans.

Does Web InSite support Microsoft® FrontPage® ? - Top

Yes, we fully support FrontPage extensions on all our virtual Web hosting and WISP virtual servers. When you order your package you choose whether you want the FrontPage extensions installed on your account or not. If you already have a virtual Web hosting account and would like us to install the FrontPage extensions on your server , please contact support@webinsite.net. Unlike other providers Web InSite does NOT charge extra for FrontPage extensions.
